My name is Fannie Frog. I am the mascot of Mature Athletes Darwin.

On a recent trip to Alice Springs for the 2002 Alice Springs Masters Games, my team dumped me in a dirty room in the Grandstand while they went out to party. Well, I wanted to have some fun too, so I have escaped and embarked on a journey. This site is a diary of my travels.

.

First, I went to Kings Canyon, a good day trip from Alice Springs.

.

Next stop was Stanley Chasm. It's not as far as Kings Canyon. Amazing. I would have loved to go to Ayres Rock, but I needed to catch a ride with some new friends. They were going to Queensland.

.

I went to Indy on the Gold Coast, it rained and there was a really bad crash at the start. I met some great people who were going to New Zealand and offered to take me along.

.

I love the shopping! You wait here, I'll just pop into this shop. I won't be long.

.

I eventually did leave the shops. I was exhausted, so I headed off to Hanmer Springs, where a long relaxing soak in the thermal pools relieved the stress of shopping. I'm ready to move on now.

.

I am off to the cricket at the Gabba with a couple of Queenslander friends. They said it is traditional to stop at the Norman Hotel on the way; so we did.

.

Australia is playing Sri Lanka. I don't understand this game.

.

Very friendly, these Queenslanders. The beer is good too. They all say that I can't pronounce Fourex properly. After six or seven of them, nor can they.

.

I avoided the dreaded SARS virus while in Vancouver. I had a great time, but my friends didn't understand e-mail. We had to go to a normal post office.

.

I had a real problem getting through Customs in Korea, the Police thought I was some kind of political statement. Oh yeah, can you name every revolutionary organisation that uses a green tree frog as a symbol of rebellious power?
.

Well, its one year since I started my adventure. I will be back in Alice Springs for 2004 Masters Games, but in the meantime checkout www.alicespringsmasters.nt.gov.au

The first stop in the UK was Brighton Pier. This is the one that did not fall down in the storms earlier this year. Not a good beach for sunbathing; pebbles, no sun and my fair skin.

.

I couldn't get any closer to the famous Stonehenge than this fence. I think they erected the fence just before I arrived, they must have known! Those Korean police must have told them. I'm not a troublemaker, just misunderstood. The Canadians know how to show a girl a good time. I'm going back there!
